About Sarah Shaw

Sarah Shaw’s practice-led research in Creative Writing, funded by Northumbria University, involves writing a novel. Her short stories have been published in magazines including Mslexia, The London Magazine and The Yellow Room. In 2009 her novel, Make It Back, about political commitment versus art practice, was published by Tonto Books; she also won the Badenoch Fiction Award for her stories. Shaw has worked as a filmmaker, taught film and literary theory and worked in antiracist education.
